An Instagram Guide to Edinburgh

I recently moved back home from University and lucky for me I live just outside Scotland's beautiful capital city - Edinburgh. I don't know whether distance has made the heart grow fonder but since I've come back I have a whole new love for how beautiful Edinburgh is.

So in this blog post I thought I would detail some of my fave beautiful corners of the city, from bars to art exhibits and everything in-between. If you like this post let me know and as I discover more of the city I'll share my discoveries right here...

Jupiter Artland
Possibly my new fave place ever, with the most breathtaking art exhibits all spaced throughout a forest, a personal favorouite of mine was the Amethyst Cave which was truly breathtaking. The cafe here is also amazing, with delicious slices of cake and beautiful crockery and decor, I can't recommend Jupiter anymore for a good day out.

Dean Village
A true Edinburgh gem, nestled just off the hustle and bustle of Princes Street with beautiful architecture and beautiful scenery which makes you feel like your in the countryside as opposed to the capital city.

Princes St Gardens
The perfect picnic spot on a sunny day with beautiful views of the castle mixed with gorgeous floral displays and great stone staircases. The fountain is stunning and makes a great shot with Edinburgh Castle in the background.

This whole place is like it was created for Instagramming; rose walls, marble surfaces and pink neon signs and the food and drink is amazing as well,  my go to for a couple of cocktails with the girls.

The Principal Hotel
The garden room at the Principal is honestly one of the most beautiful spots for a drink in Edinburgh, so much so that I've taken three different groups of friends since I discovered it a couple months ago - go and prepare to be amazed.

I hope you liked this little list, whether your an Edinburgh local looking for some new fave spots or a tourist looking for some pre-travel advice.
Thanks for Reading!
