Top 5 MAC Eyeshadows

Along with my love affair with MAC Lipsticks I have to admit I am also obsessed with their eyeshadows, so much so that I created a custom 15 shadow palette, so I thought I'd share my top 5 from the palette with you. The pictures on the top are the shadow with flash and the bottom pictures are the shadows without flash.
Top Row - Woodwinked, Cranberry
Bottom Row - All that Glitters, Satin Taupe, Club
When I first got this eyeshadow I loved the colour but had NO idea how to make it work on my eyes, without making it make my eyes look like they had a disease...But after spending far too much of my time on YouTube looking at makeup tutorials i found some really great ways to wear it. Namely as an accent colour in a purple smokey eye (I'll be doing a blog post on this look soon). The colour is a gorgeous plummy purple with slight silver shimmer, its very long lasting and pigmented especially when used with an eye primer or concealer underneath as a base.
This shadow is an absolute dream when your in a rush to get ready for a night out, its perfect for a one product smokey eye. Its a taupey colour with blue and green shimmer throughout it which looks completely different depending on the lighting. This shade also looks beautiful with blue eyes and really accentuates them its a very unique shade and definitely worth a look next time your in MAC.
Possibly my favourite MAC eyeshadow shade? This is a beautiful golden, bronze shimmery shade is really highly pigmented and so easy to blend on the eye lid. Its another eyeshadow that you could definitely get away with wearing alone, however i find it works best when used with All That Glitters as a highlight shade and a Matte brown such as Swiss Chocolate in the crease.
 Satin Taupe

A very well known and well loved MAC shade, its not very shimmery but has a beautiful multi faceted sheen with flecks of purple, green and silver which really makes eyes pop. Once again this looks amazing with All That Glitters as a highlight shade and blended out with Charcoal eyeshadow for a grey smokey eye with a bit more pizazz.

All That Glitters
Is my go to highlight shade for the first quarter of the eyelid and inner corner, its the perfect shade for adding a bit of sparkle and light to any eye look. It also looks amazing as an all over wash on the lid for an everyday look, or as a highlight on the cheekbones and cupids bow of the lips, All That Glitters is a very awakening shade which brightens up any look.

Club, Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, Cranberry, All That Glitters.
MAC shadows are brilliant buttery soft shadows which are so easy to blend and create amazing eye looks with. All the colours mentioned are extremely pigmented and last forever on the eyes especially when used with a base, my favourite base to use with eye shadow is MAC paintpot in Painterly. The shadows cost £13 in their plastic pot or £10 just for the individual pan, which can be stored in empty 2, 4 and 15 pan palettes from MAC.
