Purple Sparkle Smokey Eye Tutorial

This tutorial will be a step by step guide on how to get my go to purple shimmery smoky eye.
The main eyeshadow you will need for this is the Bobbi Brown shimmer eyeshadow in Silver Lilac, this eyeshadow is beautiful, very highly pigmented and full of chunky and fine glitter, however if this is out of your price range then Barry M dazzle dusts in the shades Lilac or Pink Shimmer are fairly close and only cost around £4.
  1. Prime your eyelids with MAC paintpot in Painterly (or whatever eye primer you use, or even your concealer).
  2. Blend a matte neutral shade similar to your skin tone into your crease using a blending brush such as Malt by MAC, the MAC 217 brush is my preferred brush for blending eyeshadow. This step will make it easier to blend out darker colours later.
  3. Use a damp flat brush, I use the MAC 239 brush, to pack on the Bobbi Brown Silver Lilac eyeshadow all over the lid.
  4. Then Use a matte dark purple shade in the crease to blend out the shimmer eyeshadow on the lid, I use Sketch by MAC.
  5. Next add some of Cranberry and Twinks eyeshadows by MAC into the crease of the eyelid to give the look a lift as the colours add more depth and a bit of shimmer.
  6. After that line the lids with your favourite black liner, mine is Supercat liner by Soap and Glory. If you wish then you can do a flick with the liner however I just line my lashes.
  7. Then smudge some of the matte purple eyeshadow under the lower lashes and line the waterline with a black pencil liner, I used the Barry M black liner.
  8. Then I fill in my brows using my Anastasia dipbrow pomade in Chocolate and my MAC angled liner brush, before setting them with my Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark brown.
  9. Next  add some highlight to your brow-bone and inner corner, I use Shroom eyeshadow from MAC but any champagne shade will do.
  10. I added some false lashes by Eylure to finish the look but this is optional, and then coated my lashes with Rollerlash mascara by Benefit to blend my lashes with the false ones.
  11. Lastly if you want a bit of extra sparkle then you can dot the Collection glitter liner in gold or silver over the lid to add an extra dimension, this liner is only around £3 but works so well for adding a touch of sparkle to any look.
  12. Then finish off your face make-up and add some lipstick and your ready to go!
